I repeatedly told the sales associate that I was a warm/hot sleeper, and needed a mattress that would keep me cool. This is the complete opposite of that. It's one of the hottest mattresses on the market - the memory foam material traps and reflects heat incredibly strongly. This is a very terrible mattress for someone like me.

The mattress is lower than our previous spring pillow top mattress. It is a replacement for a two year old dented spring mattress on an adjustable base. It has an odd smell, even 3 weeks later. It is VERY firm, but does snap back from sleeping in one spot. No dreaded middle "hump" in the king. I can't feel him rolling around at night which is really useful for my sleep. He seems to like it.

The feel of the mattress is great for sleeping. Getting into the bed can feel like a bit of a safety issue because of the "no edge" feel to the mattress. As we are older, the squishy edge can put you a little off balance as you try to go from sitting to lying down and scooting over to sleeping position.

My Twin XL is pretty comfortable. I am a side sleeper and the bed is comfortable on the side where I had a hip replacement. It is a bit hard on the other hip that hurts. Overall this is a comfortable bed. I needed a soft bed that was not hot. Neighbors have Tempur Pedics that have lasted 16 years and bought another Tempur Pedic. Quality is excellent.

We finally saved up to buy this expensive Extra Large Twin Tempur LuxAdapt Soft because we also bought the adjustable twin base. We are individually so happy with the mattresses because they fit our bodies perfectly. The mattresses keep our bodies cool, comfortable and we are able to sleep longer too. Best purchase ever.

We gave the bed a fast break in by walking on it in socks as recommended by our salesperson. So far we have enjoyed the bed. It does sleep slightly warm for me but not as warm as the Serta iluxe. Have had this bed for almost 2 weeks.

I am enjoying my comfortable Tempurpedic bed. The salesperson helped us pick out the right softness/firmness and it's great. I don't wake up with any backaches and I no longer need to use my thick mattress topper. I highly recommend the adjustable split-king. It helps cut way down on snoring and there is virtually no transfer of movement with my spouse getting in and out of bed which used to wake me all the time. I love my bed!

I was not advised that it would not be as soft as the sample in the store until after the sale was finished. Then I was advised that it would be kind of firm when I received it and it would take a couple of weeks to "soften up" to my body with use. With 150+ lbs persons testing the mattress in the store for a year of course the store mattress would be soft. But with me being a light weight of 105 lbs.... mine will never get to the "soft" stage. I should have been told that PRIOR to the purchase. I have not been able to sleep through the entire night since I have had it. It is NOT SOFT as labeled. Very disappointed and misrepresented. I only recommend it to heavier bodies, even then I would be skeptic. Receipt was tri-folded, placed in a "pocket" and handed to me. I looked at it when I got home and the warranty page is in spanish and I do not speak spanish.

We were very excited about the cooling that the luxe adapt had when we tried it In The store but when we got it delivered and put the mattress protector on we couldn't feel any cooling whatsoever so we took the protector off and just slept with the fitted sheet over the mattress but still could not feel the cooling affect. Very very disappointed that we spent so much on this mattress that touted cooling and we don't get that at all. My fitness watch tracks my body temperature at night and there has been no difference with the luxe adapt which is supposed to allow you to sleep 5 degrees cooler. So while the bed is comfortable I would no way spend the amount of money we did when there are plenty of good memory foam beds out there for less.

This is the best bed ever!
I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and so many parts of my body hurt, even when I lay down. I was unable to sleep on either side as it caused my hips to hurt.
I sink into this bed, and there is no pain!
Thanks for creating the pressure point relief. I'm sleeping better than I have in years. I no longer wake up every hour or two.

We've had this mattress just short of the 90 day trial period and it's just not providing the pressure relief we thought it would for the price. My husband and I both weigh in the 230 lbs. He is 6'4" and I am 5'7". I'm a belly sleeper and it is nearly impossible to sleep on my abdomen on this bed. My husband is a side sleeper and has woken up with shoulder pain sleeping on this mattress. When side sleeping our mattress does not adapt to our hips, so our spines are not in alignment. We bought a firm thinking our weights would factor in to just how much the mattress adapts to our bodies. Just sharing our experience. We are in the process of exchanging for a proAdapt medium hybrid and so far it's taken a couple of days to get a response from customer service. Will continue to update.

I waited to make this review to allow time to change my mind. My complaint isn't the mattress, its the odor that comes from it. The first night we slept on it I had to go sleep in the guest room. The fumes that came from it were more than I could tolerate. Next night my husband joined me. For three days, we set our mattresses out on saw horses outside to hopefully help with the odor. After those three days, we put them on the frame without any bedding and I opened the window and put a fan on them all day. We continued to sleep in the guest room. After about 10 days, I made up the bed and we slept in it. I am a side sleeper so that puts my face closer to the mattress. My husband sleeps on his back so it wasn't as bothersome to him. Although I enjoy the mattress and enjoy the feel and comfort of it and all that the it does with our special frame, I wouldn't be able to recommend it. I do have a very sensitive sense of smell, but this odor was over the top.

We purchased split king..have it now for a month
adjusting period for our bodies on this mattress was almost 2 weeks-as this was our first foam mattress…almost gave up on it if I wasn't advised "give it to time" from our sales gentleman.
Purchased firm bc of back problems…(we both under 200 lb)no pain after waking up-THANK YOU!
